SHHH!! Its a secret!!

So I am going to share a little secret with all of you..... Our family pancake recipe. This recipe goes back at least 4 generations. It was my great grandmother Hazel Louisa Magelby Treasure's recipe. My mother remembers eating these pancakes when she would visit her Grandmother on the farm. So here is the recipe, I might be disowned by sharing it with you ;)

1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
4 tbsp melted butter (optional)

Mix dry ingredients, then add eggs and buttermilk. If you like thin pancakes thin down batter with regular milk. Lumps are ok, over stirring pancakes makes them chewy.

Cook on your favorite griddle (or only griddle). Flip pancakes when bubbles have formed.

Enjoy with your favorite syrup.
I went to take a picture and this is all that was left!

Thanks for sharing the secret, I can't wait to try them! I made a lemon cake for a party on Saturday and my picture looks just like yours, a plate of crumbs, how funny! I didn't take a picture before the party and didn't know just how yummy the cake would end up being so I took one of the aftermath :)
